Last Leg - Dunbar 19th February.

The last leg of this series will be hosted by Dunbar Running Club and will take place on Sunday 19th February at White Sands.

The route is pretty much the same as previous years . Please note that the attached route is the proposed route and we preserve the right to make alterations, if required, up to and including the day of the race.
A rough outline of the route is available on the attached map. Both routes (junior and senior) take in beach and coastal trails. Studs but not spikes recommended (road shoes would be OK too).
Details of Whitesands car park can be found on here:

Races start at the usual times (Juniors 11:30 and Seniors at 12:00 - or as soon to 12:00 as possible if juniors over run).

Afterwards the prize giving for the series will be held at Hallhill Healthy Living Centre at Dunbar (location details here http://www.hallhill.org/?page_id=38 ).

There are good changing and showering facilities at Hallhill. There is a snack bar located in Hallhill that we would encourage the runners to use.

We can not give a definitive time for the prize giving - but we will endeavour to have them as soon as possible after the races.

Paxton House Sunday 8th Jan.

Once again we are delighted to have Paxton House as the venue for the NRC round of the Border XC series and would like to thank the management & staff for their co-operation, also the Home-Robertson family for generously continuing to allowing us access to the surrounding farm/woodlands.
At the moment it looks as if we will be able to use the grass area beside the house for parking but in the event of poor weather we will revert to parking on the drive & roadsides so please park where instructed, allow enough time a 10 min walk/jog, car share where possible and above all please avoid parking on the mown verges near the farm & entrance to Paxton House.
Registration will be in the tearoom conveniently situated close to the toilets and start/finish areas of both races. Once again we are grateful to the staff at the tearoom for allowing us to disrupt their day, they will be open from 10am serving teas, coffee, soup, rolls  etc.  please show them your support.
Both Senior & Junior routes will consist of the usual mixture of parkland, fields, stream crossing(s) depending on the weather, woodland/riverside paths and MUD!!!
Seniors please pay particular attention to the Junior race as that will be your first lap before heading off in search of adventure!
Updated maps will be on posted here on Saturday and displayed in the Courtyard on the day.....please note the course is unsuitable for spikes.

In order that we continue to be made welcome at Paxton House......PLEASE park where directed, when warming up stick to the marked route on the farm/woodland and try to avoid using the toilets whilst wearing muddy footwear.
Note that under no circumstance will washing shoes in the toilets be tolerated!!!
